• Admiral Europe Compañía de Seguros (AECS) will absorb Admiral Intermediary Services (AIS) to simplify the Group’s operating structure in Europe and increase agility.
  • Both companies have already submitted the merger filing for approval to the Directorate General of Insurance (DGSFP).
  • Customers of both companies will maintain their current terms and service channels under a single policy managed by AECS.

As part of its strategy for growth and operational simplification, the Admiral Group companies in Europe—Admiral Intermediary Services (AIS, insurance intermediary) and Admiral Europe Compañía de Seguros (AECS, insurer)—have initiated the merger process by submitting the filing to the Directorate General of Insurance and Pension Funds (DGSFP).

This strategic move, agreed upon by the management teams of both companies in February 2026, will take effect in the second half of this year. The primary objective is to establish a simpler and more robust corporate structure that consolidates all distribution channels under a single insurance entity: AECS.

Simpler and Faster Processes for Customers

The new structure means that AECS will become the owner of AIS’ commercial brands (Qualitas Auto and Balumba in Spain; ConTe in Italy; and L’olivier Assurance  in France), assuming the management of all its customers.

AECS is already the insurer for the policies brokered by AIS; therefore, this corporate change simplifies the structure to streamline management processes. Following the merger, AECS will become the coordinator of all policyholder services, maintaining current contact channels and facilitating faster resolutions for customers.

A Commitment to Efficiency and Innovation

With the merger of AIS and AECS, the Admiral Group optimizes its operational efficiency and moves toward a more agile and sustainable development of its insurance activity in Europe. The goal is to simplify the business structure to gain agility which will allow for a faster response to customers and optimize collaboration with partners.

Furthermore, the union of both companies enables greater coordination among European businesses and an optimization of resources and distribution channels, ensuring a more solid business model prepared for the future.

With this structural modification, the Admiral Group reaffirms its commitment to continuous improvement, confident that this new phase will further strengthen the relationship with its customers and partners under a collaboration model that is more efficient and aligned with their common goals.
